As mentioned in the previous sections, varieties of anti-staling agents including esters, hydrocolloids and enzymes, etc., as well as chemical and natural preservatives have been utilized to enhance the shelf life of fresh noodles and CSB.
They hope the 15 acres they are planting with asparagus, broccoli, beets, lettuce, basil, arugula, tomatoes, cilantro, green beans, flowers -- plus 3 acres worth of fingerling, Yukon gold and red skin potatoes, gourmet spuds, not the previous commercial variety -- will be enough for a full-time operation and to sustain a family.
Further series of both types had disc wheels instead of the previous spoked variety.
Consistent with previous analyses, aromatic varieties are closely related to japonica varieties (Garris et al. 2005; Zhao et al. 2010).

However for both varieties, previous studies of the question provided contradictory results.
In a previous study, 115 varieties from the breeding program at the South Africa Sugarcane Research Institute (SASRI) were screened in terms of potential ethanol yields per hectare from both sugar juice and bagasse [ 6].
Due to the lack of the recombination between the four previous A. pullulans varieties, it was concluded that A. pullulans is strictly clonal, although recombination within the four phylogenetic clusters of A. pullulans strains (at that time recognised as varieties) was not definitively ruled out [ 19].
