In South Korea (hereafter 'Korea'), the prevalence of planned pregnancies reported by hospital- and/or community health center-based studies ranges from 51.4%to74.3%3% [ 6, 16, 17].

Furthermore, recent study have found a trend of increasing prevalence of suicide attempts with decreasing prevalence of planned acts and suicidal ideation among youths [10], suggesting that the rate of suicide attempts in the absence of suicidal ideation may be increasing.

In multiparous women, the prevalence of planned CS was 17% (aOR 1.17, 95% CI 1.11-1.24) hinher in lower white collar workers and 16% (aOR 1.16, 95% CI 1.09-1.24) hinher in blue collar workers compared to upper white collar workers (Table  2), whereas the prevalence of non-planned CS was 15% (aOR 1.15, 95% CI 1.07-1.23) hinher in blue collar workers compared to upper white collar workers.
