Bands like She Wants Revenge seem pretty heavily influenced by Interpol, and I get at least a few CDs a month by bands that sound like bad versions of Interpol.

In fact, the entire album is pretty 80s influenced, but in the coolest way possible.
"Infant mortality, although it sounds dramatic, pretty much influences just what happens in a given year," he says.
(Sinagra) HOWLIN' FOR HUBERT (Tomorrow) The blues guitarist Hubert Sumlin's electric guitar style, evidenced on Howlin' Wolf classics like "Killing Floor," influenced pretty much every classic rock heavyweight from Clapton to Zappa.
"Pet Sounds is one of my favorite records, and it influenced pretty much all of my songwriting," says Perry of Hall of Fame Inductees the Beach Boys' landmark album.
Perry described The Beach Boys and their album Pet Sounds as having a considerable influence on her music: "[It] is one of my favorite records and it influenced pretty much all of my songwriting.
"They've influenced pretty much everyone," commends Faris Badwan, "I never realised it fully until I heard their live stuff; but like Nick Cave for instance, The Stooges are basically the blueprint for all of Nick Cave's early stuff".
I can't tell if it's because everyone I'm around listens to pop music and I know that I'm pretty prone to influence.
