The presumed translation product maintained the β-barrel structure, but lacked a central region spanning from domain II to the first half of domain V.
A positive-ion ESI mass spectrum of the presumed isomerization product was also consistent with the molecular formula C33H38N4O8 ([ M+H]+ at m/ z 619.0).
