Vibrational frequencies of participating bonds are significantly red-shifted, which is not reflected in experimental spectra, and which leads to the conclusion that phenolic OH is likely not present at the tips of o-SWNTs.
In the regenerating antler, a high density of STRO-1+ cells was found in the cambial layer of the perichondrium (Fig. 1a c) and within the chondrogenic growth zone (Fig. 1d f) present at the tips of the main beam and the antler tines.
