Evaluation / Assessment: Students will be evaluated based on initial journal responses, thoughtful participation in class discussions, cooperation in small groups, creation of factual descriptions of various federal agencies and their jurisdiction over science/technology/health topics, and presentation of situations over which these agencies might disagree.
However, only 89 participants (32%) would be willing to present results before submission to a peer-reviewed journal even if journal editors would accept such a presentation (a situation that would be comparable to today's practice regarding presentation at conferences).
