We feel that, in this exploratory study aiming to discover themes and patterns, and to build initial models of how the ideal POCT should work, our findings provide imperative preliminary evidence of barriers to use of currently available POCTs, priority for development of new POCT, and characteristics of an ideal STI POCT.
