PF and FFA also showed a contralateral preference averaged across all stimulus categories (PF: P = 0.0008; FFA: P = 0.032, t-test) and for the preferred stimulus category (PF for objects: P = 0.0005; FFA for faces: P = 0.0006).

The raw correlation between average pair preference and average pair similarity (r = +.55) is substantially lower than the raw correlation between average pair preference and average pair harmony (r = +.79).

Interestingly enough, Billy Joel has the fifteenth-smartest preference population (average S.A.T. score of 1147), while jazz (that's right — the entire genre) has the one-hundred-and-twenty-seventh (average S.A.T. score of 946).
In the intention-to-treat population, the preference score averaged to 2.9 ± 1.3 for frovatriptan and to 3.2 ± 1.1 for rizatriptan (p = NS).

We used these data in preference to averaging the monthly rainfall for each site because of difficulties with inconsistency of rainfall recording at each site over time.
Because the same single color preferences appear in the regression models for the present pair preferences (see also Fig. 3a for pair preference ratings averaged over ground hue and figure hue versus Fig. 3b for single color preferences), we assume that this component of the data from Experiment 1 is influenced by the same ecological valences.
