The intercept of the regression reveals whether performance on the predicted task (y-axis) is greater than zero if performance on the predictor task (x-axis) is at zero (Greenwald et al., 1995) (Fig. 3C).
Organisational commitment has been demonstrated to be a significant predictor of task performance, absenteeism and turnover among employees in work organisations.
To carry out PPI analysis, we used a linear model with three predictors: the time course of activity in the seed ROI, a task predictor coding for activity within task blocks (AH vs. IH or AH vs. OH) and a PPI term.
Following the presentation of a reward predictor, participants (active task) or the computer (passive task) indicated whether participants would receive the outcome associated with a stimulus presented on the left or right of the reward predictor.
Further, we found a significant three-way interaction between anhedonia, probability and reward magnitude, such that anhedonia was the strongest predictor of hard-task choices for trials with maximal uncertainty (i.e. 50% probability) and maximum reward magnitude (hard task values >$3.50).
A significant anhedonia by reward magnitude interaction (b = −.017, p<.001) emerged in this analysis, suggesting that anhedonia was a significant predictor of hard-task choices for trials in the upper half of reward values, (b = −.26, p<.000) but not in the lower half (b = 0.00, p = ns).
Visual function parameters of the better eye usually plays a more significant role than parameters of the worse eye, and disability glare is the significant predictor of computer task accuracy.
However, Ernst et al. [ 32] found that IQ was a significant predictor of card task performance in their sample of adults with substance abuse disorders and adolescents with behaviour disorders.
In addition, the proposed framework can be utilised for other classification and prediction tasks, and its neuro-fuzzy predictor module can be replaced by other classifiers.
