The predicted component integrates the predictions produced by 11 established miRNA target prediction programs (DIANA-microT, MicroInspector, miRanda, MirTarget2, miTarget, NBmiRTar, PicTar, PITA, RNA22, RNAhybrid, and TargetScan⁄TargertScanS).
BTPRED takes the secondary structure predictions produced by PSIPRED and can predict whether or not a residue is in a hydrogen-bonded β-turn with an accuracy of over 70% (Kaur and Raghava 2002), although it has a tendency to overpredict β-turn residues (Shepherd et al. 1999).
