We found significant effect modification by season for outdoor home model predictions (p-value = 0.006), with season-stratified calibration coefficients higher during winter (0.60 (95% CI 0.36, 0.64)) than summer (0.50 (95% CI 0.42, 0.78)).
For both personal PM2.5 of ambient origin and total personal PM2.5 calibration coefficients, we found no statistically significant evidence of heterogeneity across cities for outdoor home model predictions (p-values = 0.11 and 0.17, respectively) and therefore results from Model 2, instead of Model 1, can be used.
The median of the predicted conformal prediction p-values for each class (active or inactive) across all iterations is then used to derive the predicted labels.
