The finite element method (FEM) simulation model has been used to predict the mode shapes of the proposed energy harvester at different vibration modes.
The features of this distribution allow one to predict the mode shapes and give an indication of the additional masses number and weight.
The results show that analyses for perfect symmetric conditions can still roughly predict the mode shapes of "recessive" modes of the plate with a slightly eccentric hole.
The observed response variables are compared with design values obtained using the mechanical model employed in Eurocode 3. The model is seen to predict the mode of failure well, but to over-predict stiffness and under-predict moment capacity.
Mathematical models to predict the mode and extent of deformation occurring below sinkage plates are presented in the first part of this paper which encompasses the theoretical approach to the subject.
Based on the finite element results a semi-empirical formula is also derived to predict the Mode I and Mode II fracture toughness of cellular solids as a function of relative density.

The present approach predicts the mode without prior assumption.
As the next step we aimed at predicting the mode of toxicity.
Drug docking routines have been shown to be very accurate in predicting the mode of binding of small molecules to proteins while not necessarily accurately predicting binding energies.
The approach aims at predicting the mode of action and/or toxicity of a high number of chemicals within a short time period.
