We have implemented an RDF persistence framework that converts java object instances into sets of RDF triplets of the form (subject, predicate, object).

In particular, Stream Reasoning utilises and benefits from the following Semantic Web technologies: Resource Description Framework (RDF), as a uniform format for representing streamed heterogeneous data as a collection of (subject, predicate, object) triples using a vocabulary defined in an OWL ontology; OWL ontologies and SWRL rules, as a source of static background knowledge.

A BEL Statement (see Fig. 3) is designed as a semantic triple (subject, predicate, object) to represent discrete scientific findings and their relevant contextual information as qualitative causal relationships.

The core sentence elements are Subject, Predicate, Object (Just like those in English!); Other elements accompanying noun, verb and sentence: Attributive, Adverbial, Complement.
