Since we precisely relocated many earthquakes, we have been able to determine the detailed interface between the subducting Indian and Burma Plates, which might be a few to ∼10 km above the seismic plane, thereby enabling an accurate understanding of the tectonics of the Burma subduction zone.
In order to understand the cause of this distinctive change in seismicity, we have precisely relocated earthquake hypocenters for several earthquake sequences that occurred during the period March 11 April 6 , 2011 following the Tohoku earthquake by the double-difference method.
Here, we use geoscience techniques to precisely relocate the ancient northern harbour, the city's principal transport hub during antiquity, and reconstruct its geomorphological evolution (Marriner, N., Morhange, C., Boudagher-Fadel, M., Bourcier, M., Carbonel, P., 2005. As the theme calls for deceptively humble gestures, some of the work is a matter of precisely relocating pre-existing elements: Hondartza Fraga presents an A5 drawing of a blank globe, while Joe Fletcher Orr simply contributes a SAD (seasonal affective disorder) lamp.
To precisely relocate hypocenters, we employed the modified joint hypocenter determination (MJHD) method developed by Hurukawa and Imoto (1990 , 1992.
We employ a double-difference (DD) hypocenter location method (Waldhauser and Ellsworth, 2000; Waldhauser, 2001) to precisely relocate the individual hypocenters for those inland earthquake sequences.

Stork et al. 2008) relocated 81 earthquakes precisely in the Burma arc, 21°N 27°N, by using the JHD method (Douglas, 1967), while we relocated 980 earthquakes, which is more than 10 times as many.
The problem is that the war shifted south to precisely the area where the students had relocated.
