Step 3 is in a simultaneous thermal and UV imprinting process, which is executed by the IPS imprinted on a pre-heated polymer layer.
A causative linkage between placental hypoxia, pre-eclampsia and misregulation of imprinted genes has been suggested [ 46, 47].
However if the core-shell nanoparticles are not pre-ordered initially, imprinting can actually result in the introduction of order along the shearing zones as shown in Figure 3.
