Google built its own AI processor to power bots while Apple is said to be secretly developing a dedicated chip for the iPhone.
The Powers bot was created by New Line, the film's studio, to promote tonight's opening of the Austin Powers sequel, Goldmember.

On the Powers bot, viewers can get their "groovy zodiac profile," play around with a spy-name generator, use the Gold-o-Lizer to turn anything on the Web into gold and, of course, look up show times and purchase tickets online.
I think the real power of bots will come when it's not just about you talking to an app, but the bot doing things for you, or multiple people talking to each other with the bot inline and helping us.

Although, as we noted earlier, he had plenty of caveats about the limits of its powers of bot detection.
The characters' lines were fed into the neural networks that power the bots, which analyzed their language patterns and learned to say things as they would.
It'll be interesting to see how developers will use them in their apps, but it's easy to see how this could be used to power chat bots, for example, and help them understand incoming requests.
