The exhibition, divided into 12 sections, contains 200 items, including period photographs, postcards, paintings, programs for those theatrical evenings, and artifacts like a bathing costume, a set of three white summer dresses, a clam basket and a life preserver from a beach club.
One photo on the postcard and the program showed a naked, paint-besmeared man dragging a naked woman through more paint, all solemnly observed by dimly lighted musicians and art fans sitting in the background.
He has also written three photography-oriented books that showcase some of the most spectacular images of Mars and the Moon acquired during the space program: "Postcards from Mars" (Dutton/Penguin, 2006), "Mars 3-D" (Sterling, 2008), and "Moon 3-D" (Sterling, 2009).

"Olympex 2012: Collecting the Olympic Games," presented with the International Olympic Committee, displays more than 2,500 postage stamps (above), handwritten postcards and letters, programs, maps, posters and artwork, mostly from personal collections of spectators, including some from this year.
