Facebook has just announced an experiment to cater specifically for these bargain hunters, a trial shopping area that it describes as a "post-click creative space to achieve business objectives".
As Josh Constine recently reported, Facebook is now giving advertisers access to its API to improve post-click actions.
With these ads, Facebook is "giving these marketers a post-click creative space to achieve their business objectives," she said.
Previously the warning would display before a link was clicked, but with greater prominence post-click Google hopes to cut down on users actually visiting malicious sites.
Quick also sees a broader opportunity around what he calls "post-click conversion optimization," which he said has three key components — scalable creation, optimization and personalization.
AdRoll's first FBX ads got a return on investment as high as 16X, and 2.2X higher post-click conversion rates, while Triggit pulled in 4X higher profit, 2.2X more post-click conversions, and 6.5X lower cost per click-through order than traditional ad exchanges.
