The population disagreement index (PDI) is an extension of the idea of population attributable risk (PAR).
The finding that the algorithm to predict diabetes that uses detailed ethnicity did not significantly differ from one that uses a broad categorization of ethnicity can be explained by two mechanisms involving statistical prediction and population disagreement index (PDI).
In order to describe the impact of disagreement between observed and predicted diabetes risk as a function of the proportion of the population where that disagreement exists, an index called the population disagreement index (PDI) was developed.
