Figs. 4a and 4b plot both measured (σM) and pooled (σM') standard deviations against either the Iavg or Imin pooling metric, analogous to Fig. 3a and 3b but using an especially noisy three-array subset of Dataset 4 that includes a population of extremely high variance spots.
