Having begun in the restaurant world as a plate washer, Mr. Adrià is amazed to find himself at such a pinnacle.
Individual wells were then washed three times with wash buffer (PBS containing 0.05% Tween-20, pH 7.4) using an automated plate washer (ThermoScientific).
For every step, plates were washed three times with PBST (PBS containing 0.05% Tween 20) and one time with PBS using a plate washer.
Immunometric assay was performed using Titertek microtitration equipment from Labsystem (Helsinki, Finland), including an automatic plate washer (Washer 120) and an automatic plate reader (Multiskan BICHROMATIC).

Aliquots of 70 µl of the bead suspension were added to each well, which had been pre-coated with fibronectin, and incubated at 37°C for 2 hr, followed by gentle washing with PBS (×5) using a plate washer (Colombus Plus, Tecan, Switzerland).
