More specifically, we will conduct analyses of intermediate outcomes at each step along the PIP: (1) VHW performance capacity; (2) VHW performance; (3) maternal behavioral determinants/capacity; and (4) maternal behavior/performance.
The 44-joint score by Naredo et al. [ 10] includes the glenohumeral joint, elbow, wrist, MCP 1 to 5, PIP 1 to 5, hip, knee, ankle, midtarsal joints and MTP 1 to 5 joints.
Explanatory variables included indicators for intervention (PIP; 1 = intervention, 0 = SC), antenatal depression (DEP; 1 = depressed, 0 = not depressed, and their interaction. Intervention's moderation of depression's impact on infant growth (PIP*DEP) was the effect of interest, and we set the criteria for a 2-sided p-value <0.05 to be significant.
The 28-joint score [ 5, 13] includes the same 28 joints as used in the DAS28 score [ 12] with bilateral examination of the glenohumeral joint, elbow, wrist, MCP 1 to 5, PIP 1 to 5 and knee with similar scanning method as used in the 78-joint score.

The distribution was as follows: psoriasis-associated arthritis = 60 fingers (56 MCP, 59 PIP, and 60 DIP joints) and 150 MTP joints; rheumatoid arthritis = 20 fingers (20 MCP, 20 PIP, and 20 DIP joints) and 50 MTP joints; and healthy control persons = 20 fingers (20 MCP, 20 PIP, and 20 DIP joints) and 50 MTP joints.
The following numbers of joints were evaluated (1,832 in total): 240 MCP second, 240 MCP third, 236 MCP fourth, 236 MCP sixth, 220 PIP second, 220 PIP third, 220 PIP fourth, and 220 PIP fifth.
