"physically apt" is not a correct and usable phrase in written English
It does not have a clear meaning in context. You could use other words or phrases, such as "physically fit" or "naturally athletic," in place of physically apt. For example, "Having been a top athlete in high school, John remains physically fit and active despite his age."
