In the community, the same disorders were also the most common ones: generalized anxiety disorder (39.0 %), phobias (29.3 %), and major depression (29.3 %).
Phobias (41.9 vs. 29.3 %) and depression (32.6 vs. 29.3 %) were more frequent in patients from the headache center, but this difference did not reach statistical significance.
Fear of the dark is the type of specific phobia that was diagnosed the most (27%; n = 26), followed by spider phobia (19%; n = 18), and medical phobias (17%; n = 16).
There has been some interest in specific treatments for other conditions, such as specific phobias 45 and separation anxiety disorder.
