The P. minus extract, when administered at 100 mg/kg, attenuated scopolamine induced deficits in the acquisition phase of the Barnes maze task.
In the present study, scopolamine treatment induced deficits during the early part of the acquisition (learning) phase of the Barnes maze task.
Alternatively, the limited OFC-lesion deficit during the reversal phase of the water-maze study may reflect impairment in some other aspect of task performance, such as the acquisition of a learning set or of a particular search strategy.
In APP/PS1 mice, the presence of SWDs measured prior to memory testing was associated with worsened performance in the acquisition phase of the Morris water maze.
