And as a merely interested party (I don't own any bitcoins), I figured the best way to put the dizzying array of perspectives on Bitcoin into, well, perspective, was to ask a bunch of people who've been involved with Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies for a long time the deceptively simple question: what is Bitcoin?
Remember: it's far easier to change your perspective than to ask someone to be a different kind of person.

Snaking through its chapters is a restless omniscient voice that nudges us from one character's perspective to another, asks us to examine our opinion of a character's actions, or suddenly shows us the current point-of-view character from a more distant perspective, jarring us from the place we've been occupying behind that character's eyes.

In doing so, I use pain as a theoretical leverage point to further what I have called "cripistemologies of pain" or specific epistemologies built from the action and analysis embedded within critical disability perspectives and commitments to ask: what does it mean to think disability through pain?
Given this perspective, the right questions to ask become clearer.
