To date, there is no unequivocal evidence for separate visual computations of object features for performance of goal-directed actions versus perceptual tasks in the neurologically intact human brain.
In some contexts, the individual has to overcome difficulties of enactment: habits, competing motivations, beliefs, or underarousal may interfere with the performance of goal-directed action.
It was also found to be involved during the performance of goal-directed actions when compared with passive stimulus viewing [ 78], the conscious resting state [ 79, 80], and the enhanced consciousness state of yoga meditation [ 55].
The complex product of these interactions underlies the learning and performance of goal-directed drug seeking and its eventual subordination by automatic S-R processes, as well as the impact on both of drug-associated CSs.
The DMN is deemed as a higher-level cognitive network and consists of brain regions that typically activate during resting-state but deactivate during performance of goal-directed tasks [ 28], within which a set of regions connectively contributes to the social cognitive aspects.
