Together, these results show that prequestions do not strongly and consistently affect performance in classroom settings in the way that they have been observed to affect performance in laboratory studies.
The reasons for these apparently discrepant findings are currently unknown, and further research is encouraged that can shed light on the factors that can account for the variance in performance in classroom settings.
