The CeO2 ZrO2 support promoters can offer improved oxygen storage capacity and redox properties, enhanced metal-support interaction (higher dispersion and stability of the Ni species) and increased catalytic performance at lower temperatures, while small amounts of noble metal (Pd, Pt, Rh and Ru) can enhance the reducibility of the Ni species through a hydrogen spillover mechanism37,38,39,40,41.
