Intrigued by these questions I interviewed many people about their perception of gratitude.
Studies have shown that just having a higher perception of gratitude (not even a gratitude practice) was correlated with better sleep and less fatigue and pain during the day.
Affluenza causes an over inflated sense of entitlement, a de-sensitizing to small material pleasures, a diminished perception of gratitude, a mistaken notion that the bearer will always be similarly "afflicted," and an inability to be sated.
