The SF36v2 organises the 36 items into eight components and presented on a percentage scale (0 100) and T-score.
These included reliability, validity, responsiveness, error measurement and internal consistency as well as brevity, rapid transfer to a 100-point or percentage scale, ease and brevity for completion, low missing responses, suitable readability and a single factor structure [ 7] that enables summation to a single unique score [ 9].
86 codes covered the terms tested (e.g. terms about expectation, response anchors), outcome domains (e.g. back pain, sleep, mood, energy, coping), timeframe and response options (e.g. 0-10 scale, percentage scale, participant defined scale), and comments pertaining to a specific question (e.g. questions originally used by DC and KJS or specific questions created based on participant comments).
Using the BPI, short form McGill and LANSS questionnaires together provides a comprehensive analysis of an individual's pain that we thought would be easy to use and appropriate for the homeless population; cover current treatments for pain and their perceived efficacy rated on a percentage scale of pain relief and assess the extent to which pain interferes with daily functions.
The final scores are then graded into ordinal scale of 'good'fairfand'poor 'poor' with their equivalents in percentage scale as in Tables 1 and 2. The assessment was done every quarter, and the completed forms submitted to the District Information Officer for computerization.
