The positive role of perceived support in PD needs related to contemporary evolution instruction adds extra complexity, indicating that teachers who get more encouragement from school, community, and colleagues are more likely to express desire for PD that helps them move past basic pedagogy.
These results indicate the importance of trust and social integration to perceived support in rehabilitation.
Nevertheless, Rogers (1994) found that perceived support, in general, was not associated with research utilization, but that support of the director of nursing, the unit director and the chairperson was significantly correlated with research utilization [ 29].
In keeping with prior studies [ 24, 50], small-sized changes, reflecting improvement, were observed in decisional conflict, with improved clarity, perceived support in decision-making, and certainty about a better choice being made observed.
In line with a previous study (Kornblith et al, 2001), a large proportion (15 44%) of our patients reported the highest possible level of perceived support in the MOS Survey.
In terms of DCS sub scores, the magnitude of change was greatest for values clarity (ES = 0.39), support (ES = 0.32) and uncertainty (ES = 0.31), reflecting small-sized improvements in clarity, perceived support in decision-making, and certainty about a better choice being made.
