To investigate this further and to identify other factors that may play a major role in determining overall histone acetylation patterns, not just the enhancers in early embryos, we carried out k-mer enrichment analysis and used the motif search tool MEME (Bailey and Elkan, 1994) to identify sequence motifs associated with different histone mark peaks identified at each stage.
Preliminary data suggests that acupoint LI-4 is associated with a 60 mV peak in surface potential while no such peak was identified at PC-6.
In addition to this major peak, two additional peaks were identified at 200× and 450×, which could reflect collapsed repeats in the assembly.
Semmes clearly showed that the same three diagnostic peaks, at least the first strong diagnostic peak, were identified at multiple sites and were effective at differentiating case/control samples at all sites.
Results showed that the actively spawning phase period (ASPP), i.e., the period from the onset of oocyte hydration to spawning ranged approximately 4.5 h between ca. 18 30 and 23:00 while a daily spawning peak was identified at 22 30.
