Some protein spots exhibited a mixed pattern (increasing to maximal abundance followed by a decrease), such as 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate oxidase, L-ascorbate peroxidase and abscisic acid response proteins.
Allowing a one-bit pattern tolerance, the relative number of all 8-bit patterns classified as RSA patterns increases to 14%, the number of all 7-bit patterns to 98%, i.e. only the 1111111 and the 0000000 pattern are not identified as RSA patterns (see parameter μ m in Table 3).
For example, when the FSCs are required to recur in at least 5 datasets, their enrichment fold ratio compared to random patterns increases to 4.4, confirming the benefits of the integrative analysis of multiple RNA-seq datasets in improving the quality of detected patterns.
When K = 7, the number of profiles with periodical patterns increased to six.
When the number of common spatial patterns increased to 14 (Fig. 4c), the average BCI classification accuracy for PWP group was 78 ± 9% which was comparable with the average classification accuracy for AB group of 76 ± 5% and was higher than the classification accuracy for the PNP group of 73±7%7% (Fig. 4c).
The age dependency of these multimorbidity patterns is shown in figure 1. Prevalence rates of the cardiovascular/metabolic (30.4% total prevalence; 18.5% in 65 years old patients to 44.0% in 89 years old patients) and neuropsychiatric patterns (6.1%; 1.3% to 25.9%) significantly increase with age while the ADS and pain pattern increases only slightly (33.6%; 29.5% to 36.1%).

Recent research has shown that nested patterns increase robustness to the loss of species and interactions and favor increased diversity in comparison with randomly assembled mutualistic communities (Bascompte et al. 2003; Burgos et al. 2007; Bastolla et al. 2009).
