In order to improve local details and the quality of fringe patterns, a lot of research has been carried out to optimize the dithered fringe patterns for phase-shifting profilometry.

The X-ray powder diffractometer (XRD) pattern (Figure 2B) shows well-defined peaks, indicating the high crystallinity of the synthesized material, and the peak positions and intensities from the experimental XRD pattern match closely with the calculated pattern for cubic phase of NaYF4 (JCPDS card, No. 77-2042).
The calibration step consisted of estimating the duration of the preclinical stage by adjusting the model until it matched the observed pattern for Thal phase 1 in the study by Braak and colleagues [ 8].
To compute the necessary LCOS pattern, we use the Huygens-Fresnel principle: using a distinct region of n × n pixels of the LCOS for each generated spot, we look for a pattern of phase delays that redirects each ray reflected by each pixel towards a single point in front of the LCOS.
It is found that the shape of the darker gray region corresponds to the crystal growth pattern for each phase-field simulation.
These results suggest that phase-specific regulation does occur at the cis-regulatory level for particular groups of cycling genes and that presence or absence of pCREs alone is sufficient to accurately predict the pattern of phase specific expression for these clusters.
X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns were recorded for phase analysis and crystallite size measurement on a Philips X pert pro diffractometer (Eindhoven, Netherlands), operated at 40 mA and 40 kV by using CuKα radiation and a nickel filter, in the 2-theta range from 2° to 80° in steps of 0.02°, with a sampling time of 1 s per step.
We therefore compared the phases of the robust circadian transcriptome (FDR <0.05) in multiple tissues in [ 33] against the analyzed ChIP-seq data for E-box activators, D-box repressor and RRE regulators in order to check for characteristic patterns of phase regulation by these TFs.
