The largest and most uniform common gene expression pattern encompassed all of the April samples and many November and June samples, and it is represented by clusters C, D, and E (Fig. 5).
The antibiotic susceptibilities of the isolates were categorized into patterns encompassing all the tested antimicrobials, table 3. The most common pattern observed was that coded 1 (109/5121.31.3%) followed by pattern 16 (19.5%12, 19.5%) then patterns 9 (54/510.510.5%) and 4 (49.612, 9.6%).
We discerned a broad pattern, encompassing virtually all the atypical amino acid replacements, the more superficial relative to protein surface (the surface replacements) became more frequently fixed during evolution, whereas those further away from the surface (the interior replacements) were rarely, if at all, fixed during it.
Additionally, the putative stem cell marker, Lgr5, is reported to have an mRNA expression pattern encompassing a greater number of crypt cells and more total crypts[ 8] than the profile of Wnt-activated cells we show here.
Instead, these three categories show that, in fact, two patterns encompass all the switches.
First, motor preparation was associated with a widespread bilateral activation pattern, encompassing brainstem structures, SMA, insula, premotor ventrolateral frontal areas, primary sensorimotor cortex (SMC), basal ganglia, and the superior cerebellum.
NeuroD2 on the other hand displayed high expression throughout the nervous system, and only on lightly labeled embryos could be discerned a post-migratory neural crest like pattern encompassing the condensing cranial ganglia (Fig. 3C E).
Distinct or non-overlapping patterns observed include grna expression within the tectum and a more expansive grnb expression pattern encompassing the midbrain-hindbrain boundary, tegmentum and telencephalon.
However, we believe that the main reason for the disparity is that Gage and Freckleton [ 33] used a very poorly resolved phylogeny that included 12 "soft" polytomies" (i.e., polytomies not due to true simultaneous speciation events but to lack of information about branching pattern) encompassing 57 out of the 83 (69%) species in their study.
That could be expected, since the beam pattern is specific of each event occurrence, whereas the broad beam encompasses all the angles of the AE source positions.
