With serial passage, expression of KIT declined slightly in MALME-3 M by P10 whereas the levels were increased in M14 at P10. Conversely, A549 cells expressed low levels of KIT at P1, but expression increased markedly at P10.
By the third passage AR and PSA expression had decreased to 37% and 64% respectively of control cells transduced with virus vector alone and by the eighth passage expression of AR and PSA was almost non-detectable.
The genome of coronaviruses has been engineered by modification of the infectious cDNA leading to an efficient (>20 μg ml−1) and stable (>20 passages) expression of the foreign gene.
