Similarly, to assess their participation in strength-related activities, students responded to the single item: "In the last 7 days, how many days did you do exercises to strengthen or tone your muscles, such as push-ups, sit-ups, yoga, or weight lifting" with response options from 0 to 7 days.
Regular participation in aerobics, strength training and balance and flexibility exercises can delay and may even prevent a life-limiting loss of physical abilities into one's 90s and beyond.
