When asked whether it was negative or positive that participation might have an effect on the ways in which participants think about environment and health in relation to their own lives all of the informants answered that this was positive.
And many market participants think fixed-income trading should recover.
What did any of the participants think they were going to achieve?
In the West, most participants think "markets are markets and they have to sort themselves out".
"These can help participants think of new ways to reformulate their queries," he said.
"Most market participants think China will continue to devalue the currency further" he said.
It would look like the fees had increased, and now participants think they are paying more".
"Participants think their 401 k)'s are free because they aren't writing out a check," he said.
While some skeptics may dismiss this kind of coalition building as merely chatter, the participants think otherwise.
Though the election race is tight, there is no glaring sign that any of the major participants think they can get over the line by focusing on diversity.
Some bond market participants think coming figures on consumer prices could prove unnerving, particularly if components of the price index outside of energy go up more than expected.
