"It's a calculated risk, a roll of the dice," said Michael A. Martin, a spokesman for Dr Pepper/Seven Up in Plano, Tex., part of Cadbury Schweppes that agreed to a promotional partnership for its Dr Pepper and Diet Dr Pepper brands.

However, the headquarters of Royal Crown Cola, which Snapple makes, will move from White Plains to Plano, Tex., to become part of Cadbury's Dr Pepper/7Up unit.
