During the month of August, the Index Media Festival is hosting a series of panels, exhibitions, performances and screenings throughout New York City.
On offer are panel events, exhibitions, a Wikipedia "hackathon", a big party and even a book club.
The film screened on Monday at the Austin Convention Center, mere rooms away from panels and exhibition halls on the latest digital enhancements.
While being unable to resolve the persistent conundrums associated with the panels, the exhibition does a commendable job in putting them in the broader context of their time and place.
This cell phone trade show, with 50,000 participants, is known as the place for visionary keynotes and action-provoking panel discussions, exhibitions of more than 1,300 companies displaying the cutting-edge products and technology that will define the mobile future, and the planet's best venue for mobile industry networking, finding business opportunities -- and making deals.
"Starting from Nov. 18, 2017, concerning our community's public sensitivity, any events such as LGBT... cinema, theater, panels, interviews, exhibitions are banned until further notice in our province to provide peace and security," the governor's office said in a statement.
It's not selectively quoted; it's a whole information panel in an exhibition.
An exhibition panel explains that "the Jeep became and remains a symbol of liberation and a triumph over adversity".
Both Mr. Fullerton and Ms. Abbott, the exhibition panel says, "believed that the modern world demanded an avant-garde approach to art".
