I have some sympathy because eyebrows are tricky and I, for one, look like a corpse without mine, which have faded unevenly; thus one eyebrow is half grey while the other half and the other eyebrow are pale "mouse".

A null mutation of Fig4 in the pale tremor mouse results in the formation of vacuoles in the cell bodies of neurons of the central nervous system (CNS) and peripheral nervous system, with extensive degeneration of sensory neurons of the dorsal root ganglia (DRG) and juvenile lethality around the time of weaning (Chow et al, 2007).
The mouse pale ear mutant, HPS1 ep, is the model for the most common HPS disease, HPS 1, while the pearl mutant, Ap3b1 pe, is the model for HPS 2. Although the liver looked pale in these mice, no abnormalities were observed and no cleaved caspase 3 positive cells were seen in this organ, suggesting that THOC5/FMIP depleted mice may have anemia, and/or internal bleeding.

Lungs of Creb1−/− fetal mice were pale in colour and smaller than wildtype controls in proportion to their reduced body size.
Secondly, although we find that the lung from Creb1−/− mice are pale in colour, the respiratory defect we observe is unlikely to be due to impaired pulmonary circulation as we show that loss of Creb1 did not seem to affect development of the lung vasculature.
