This project reminds us of Scott Garner's interactive painting and Creator Quayola's geometrically abstract renditions of classical paintings.

But Paint – and Creators Update – are really just the first step in getting people locked into Microsoft's broader 3D strategy.
"I wanted to explore one duet, one song, one location with three different media and really do it almost as a test to try to imagine, given the current state of all these technologies today, what could we do with each of those things," Painter tells Creators.

The painting's true creators are, however, data analysts and computers.
Vincent Delieuvin, the Louvre's curator of 16th century Italian painting, tells The Creators Project that, aside from the removal of the varnishes, the state of the painting represented a major difficulty, as it was unclear whether some areas were deteriorated, unfinished, or damaged due to earlier treatments.
