The government has released the final version of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), reducing more than 1000 pages of planning guidance to around 50.
The National Planning Policy Framework replaces more than 1,000 pages of planning rules put in place by successive governments with a single, 50-page document intended to simplify the system and kickstart more housebuilding and other development to create jobs.
So 1,300 pages of planning guidance will be cut to 52 pages, and climate-wrecking projects such as the expansion of Stansted and Gatwick, which were kicked off the agenda by Cameron before the election, are put centre stage.
