After longer annealing (for 3 min) and quenching (Figure 1), the surface is entirely purified of the oxide (Figure 2b).
The XPS shows that the binding energy of the Fe 2p3/2 of two thin films of dextran coated iron oxide (Figure 2 B-C)) is consistent with Fe3+ oxides.
In the left image of Figure 9, graphene oxide (Figure 9 (b)) and the graphene reduced for only 1 h (Figure 9c) have an inferior thermal stability, while the pristine graphite is quite stable below 600°C.
The table-based approach allows the selection either of an application, e.g. 'environmental remediation' and 'textiles' (Figure 1, column 1), or of an ENM of interest, e.g. 'iron oxide' (Figure 1, column 2).
In graphene oxide (Figure 7B), the next weight loss occurred between 150°C and 300°C and it can be assigned to the decomposition and evaporization of oxygen-containing functional groups.
The XRD pattern of graphite oxide (Figure 4, spectrum a) showed that the interlayer distance obtained from the characteristic (001) peak is ≈ 0.93 nm (2θ = 9.50°), which matches well with the values reported in literature [16, 20, 36].
The poly-Si0.85Ge0.15 layers were lithographically patterned to create nanopillar structures of various diameters (50 to 120 nm) over the buffer oxide layers and then subsequently oxidized at 900°C for 10 to 90 min to produce Ge nanocrystallites embedded within the oxide (Figure 2).
Ago2 co-localized in >90% of the cells with QKI-6 in cytoplasmic granules in oligodendrocytes treated with arsenic oxide (Figure 4C, 4D).
Whereas the vessel-like forms primarily comprised iron oxide (Figure 4), the infrared absorbance spectra of the associated fiber bundles (Figure 5A) exhibited peaks corresponding to proteinaceous materials (Figure 5B).
Using primary rat oligodendrocytes, we observed that ∼85% of cells harbor >5 foci that colocalize the MBP mRNA and QKI-6 in primary rat oligodendrocytes treated with arsenic oxide (Figure 8).
