And 360 evaluations in which employees assess their colleagues revealed that women are rated higher in 12 of the 16 competencies attributed to outstanding leadership.
Recent research from the US has begun to shed light on the qualities of outstanding mentors [ 29], the core competencies of research mentors, and how to measure competencies and provide feedback [ 22, 30- 33].
