A clever Outlook feature called Search Folders, again borrowed from the Macintosh version (Entourage), lets you create virtual folders that seem to hold mail but are actually saved searches (by sender, subject, size, date, and so on).
Only 5% to 10% of Hotmail's free users are thought to have used the Outlook feature regularly.
However, unlike many rivals, the Outlook feature works when the organization itself uses other Microsoft software, like Exchange Server or Office 365.
Microsoft says that spammers have been abusing the Outlook feature and creating false Hotmail accounts using an automated process from which they can send huge batches of unwanted commercial messages.
This outlook also features a synopsis of each race, featuring links to the polling charts and handicapper ratings.
Besides these numbers, Microsoft is also announcing a slew of new Outlook.com features, including new customization options and color themes, keyboard shortcuts, one-click archiving and conversation threading, a feature that Gmail obviously helped to popularize.
Special attention was given to a user-friendly outlook, support features during completion of the survey such as alerts for unanswered questions, "back buttons" for reviewing answers and data protection to ensure confidentiality and anonymity.
Last year they released an impressive album, "Latest Outlook" (Zoho), featuring the tenor saxophonist Joe Lovano, who rejoins them for this quintet engagement.
Still, if Cridland is willing to factor into his pension recommendations the assumption of protracted liveliness in Britain's long living over 65s, Generations X and Y may want to consider how this sunny outlook might feature in their own career plans.
