"We can't generalize our finding to the other estrogens and other progestins, or other doses or ways of taking hormones like pills versus patches," said Dr. Marcia Stefanick, the principal investigator of the Women's Health Initiative trial.
Treatment consisted of 1,000 IU factor VIII, followed by three other doses on separate days.
This dose is to be considered an optimum dose compared with other doses.
The other doses ranged from 600 mg to 3,600 mg per day of gabapentin.
The 0.1 mg/kg/day NTG dose significantly attenuated tolerance development, while the other doses had no significant effect.
Daily 20 mg/kg rapamycin appeared to have greater growth inhibition than the other doses and did not lead to significant systemic effects in the mice.
For Blue FCL, JSP irradiated at 250 krad showed the highest uptake capacity, whereas JSP irradiated at 500 krad showed the best adsorption results for Red RL compared to other doses (Fig. 2).
Mice were irradiated at the doses described previously (n = 2 non-irradiated; n = 3 for all other doses).
However those mice treated with the other doses showed undetectable titers only by day 9 (Fig. 5).
It should be noted that these and other doses used in this study did not affect the expression of the control gene (β-actin) or total mRNA levels.
In addition, most studies use allergens at single doses, and it is always possible that at other doses, animals that may seem resistant are actually susceptible, but simply with reduced susceptibility.
