The well-expanded chromatophores oscillated at higher frequency above 4 Hz, but the oscillation at higher frequency did not necessarily lead to the large expansion (Figs. 1Db).
But a closer look at the observations of very high-energy X-rays revealed another oscillation at 450 times a second.
