Pre-orders sold out over the course of the first weekend, but it remains unclear how many were available in that initial crop.
Built by a small firm in London and purported to print in full color – albeit only in bands of mixed color that appear in gradations along the length of the printed objects – pre-orders sold out quickly and customers waited… and waited.
In early February, a Bloomingdale's manager on the West Coast alerted him that an order had sold out in a matter of days.
"I started designing the first thinner style about this time last year and the first pair (the Le Skinny) hit the market in May 2017," says Poppy. "We actually had them up for pre-order the month before and the pre-order completely sold out before they hit the market.

Gloria Steinem, the indie rock star Ani DiFranco, and the feminist lawyer and political commentator Susan Estrich wore the T-shirt in public venues; the Planned Parenthood Federation of America sold hundreds in a matter of days, but didn't renew the order when it sold out (the shirt was highly controversial among affiliate chapters).
(UPDATE: Contrary to an earlier Politico report, DNC officials say the initial order of shirts sold out in less than 24 hours but more are being printed and people will absolutely get their shirts in a timely fashion).
"We are incredibly pleased with the success of the Japanese launch of PlayStation Vita in which all pre-orders were immediately sold out and that enthusiasm has continued since launch with sales well on track," said David Wilson, head of PR, UK at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
Most airline websites offer multi-stop booking tools to allow users to book multiple tickets at once in order to avoid any sold out flights.
